the, the pax 2 by ploom. let me beblunt here, i wasn't exactly the biggest fan of the original pax. the spring loaded mouthpiecewas kind of problematic, and i found it to be fairly difficult to maintain overall. now,with the release of the pax 2, that problem is a thing of the past. they've done awaywith the spring loaded mouthpiece, and made the entire unit smaller. not only that, butthey've also increased the battery capacity, which is great. if discretion is your game, then it doesn'tget much better than this. there were two things that struck me about the pax 2, straightout of the box. first thing, the size. it's absolutely tiny. the average hand will completelyconceal it during use. check this out. the
second thing was the build quality. it justoozes luxury, and it almost has this kind of professional look to it. it's easily themost discreet portable on the market to date. in regards to vapor production, it does producea surprising amount for its size. however, if you're after massive clouds, it's probablynot the right unit for you. once again, decreased vapor production is usually the price youhave to pay for ultimate discretion like this. on the other hand, the vapor does taste beautifullyclean, which i definitely wasn't expecting. the pax 2, much like the original, works bestwith a fully packed oven. nowadays, though, there's actually a third party component,made by a company called new vape available, called the pax pusher, which i found to bea huge savior. it essentially reduces the
size of the oven and improves the heat coverage,so that you can operate it with smaller amounts of material. it has 4 preset temperature profiles, rangingfrom 182 to 215 degrees celsius, roughly. it can be a little bit harsh on the thirdand fourth settings, but this isn't exactly surprising, given how tiny it is. as with most smaller portables, i probablywouldn't recommend using the pax 2 for multiple sessions daily. with that being said, it hasproven itself to be a lot more reliable with frequent use than the original version, soi'd say one session per day or two should be fine.
this unit will provide roughly 5 to 6 10-minutesessions per charge, which for the size is amazing. it can't be used while charging,but the included magnetic dock is fairly small, and it can be connected to any laptop or pcvia a micro usb cable. if you're after a sneaky portable vape to use in public places, thepax 2 is without a doubt the best option available at the moment. it's probably the smallestunit on the market, and the build quality is nothing short of amazing. to top it alloff, plume portables are covered by a 10 year warranty for your piece of mind.
